<p>The drawn sliver condensing unit, at a spinning machine, has a sieve body with a perforation (24) across the direction (L) of sliver (30) travel, which does not cross into the suction slit (12) or has an insignificant extension into it. The perforation (24) is composed of round and circular neighboring holes, in a strip along the sieve body (20), in the direction (L) of sliver (30) travel, at a sieve surface (22). The edge (13) of the suction slit (12) is at least partially behind the outermost passages in the sieve body (20). The suction unit (10) is connected to a tubular holder (16), linked to an underpressure supply. The suction unit (10) has a zone (11) with a weakened cross section, between the suction unit (10) and the holder (16). The shape of the sieve body has rotation symmetry, and is mounted to a shaft (21). The sieve body (20) is at least partially just over the suction unit (10) and especially over the suction slit (12). The surface of the suction unit (10) is raised at an end zone (14) round the suction slit (12) along an edge (13) of the slit. The edge zone (14) of the suction unit (10) is in contact with the side of the sieve body (20) away from the sliver (30), or is at a small gap from it.</p> |
