<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image projector which does not require an optical system for projection. <P>SOLUTION: A laser image projector comprises a substrate 10 and a two-dimensional array of a laser pixel 11. The laser pixel 11 is formed on the substrate 10, and individually addressable. The two-dimensional array of the laser pixel 11 emits an image beam 13 of a laser beam vertical to the substrate 10.
