<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free-space optical communication apparatus capable of controlling the transmission and reception direction of a light beam to the optimum direction even when light receiving power is considerably decreased due to effects, including long-distance transmission, weather conditions, and the like. <P>SOLUTION: The free-space optical communication apparatus has a configuration including; forming a light signal-receivable angle range to be equal or below the spread angle of the transmission light beam; and changing the transmission direction and reception direction of the light beam to the direction forming the maximum peak value of frequency distribution obtained by means of a frequency distribution measuring means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
