<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method of molding alloy powder for a rare earth sintered magnet where the control of the concentration in oxygen is easy, and the improvement of safety can be attained. <P>SOLUTION: The molding device 1 is provided with: an atmosphere control chamber 10; a substitution chamber 30; and a carrier car 40. The atmosphere control chamber 10 is provided with a gas feeding means 22 capable of controlling the concentration of oxygen at the inside thereof. The substitution chamber 30 is connected to the atmosphere control chamber 10 via a sealing door 25a, and functions as an airtight means capable of connecting the carrier car 40 and the atmosphere control chamber 10 in an airtight state.
