<p>PURPOSE:To promote the accuracy of a tracking control by controlling the rotary phase of a capstan motor with a bit of tracking control information of a regenerative signal of a wide track width head calculated at the time of reproducing with a narrow track width head and a reproducing control signal. CONSTITUTION:At the time of reproducing with the narrow track width head 2, an output of a preamplifier 4 is inputted to an envelope detecting circuit 6, while an output of a preamplifier 5 to a signal processing circuit 10. Consequently, a regenerative signal of the narrow track width head 2 is inputted via the preamplifier 4 and a switch 11 to the signal processing circuit 10. On the other hand, the signal of the wide track width head 1 is outputted to a calculation processing circuit 7 after being detected by the envelope detecting circuit 6 via the preamplifier 4 and the switch 11. A tracking position is calculated by the calculation processing circuit 7 based on a level lowering point of the detecting signal and a feedback signal of a capstan servo circuit 8. By this method, the accuracy of the tracking control can thus be promoted.</p> |
