A weighting device (10) for use on a golf club head (13) as during swinging of the club (100), comprising in combination, a receptacle (11) having an openi ng (12) via which the club head (13) is received into the receptacle (11), a retainer in the form of a flap (25) is carried on the receptacle (11) to be fastened in a position for retaining the receptacle (11) in fitting relation to the club head (13), and weighting structure carried by the receptacle (11 ) to add substantial weight to the club head weight, for use as in club head swinging.
