A multi-purpose X-ray photographing apparatus is provided to reduce an installation space and cost by photographing with one apparatus at various postures. A multi-purpose X-ray photographing apparatus includes a pole(10), an up-and-down transferring unit(12), a rail arm(16), a supporting arm(18), an X-ray generating apparatus(20), and a photographing plate(22). The pole(10) is erectly installed on the floor. The up-and-down transferring unit(12) is installed to ascend and descend along a length of the pole(10). The rail arm(16) is rotatably axis-supported to the up-and-down transferring unit. The supporting arm(18) is extended toward an opposite side of the rail arm, is formed integrally or separately with/from the rail arm, and is rotatably axis-supported to the up-and-down transferring unit. The X-ray generating unit is mounted at the rail arm to slide along the length of the rail arm, and irradiates X-rays. The photographing plate is supported to the supporting arm to face the X-ray generating apparatus.
