COMBINED PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION FOR TREATMENT OF TYPE 2 DIABETES

A pharmaceutical preparation for controlling the condition of type 2 diabetes, the pharmaceutical preparation comprising the combination of mitiglinide or a pharmacologically acceptable salt or hydrate thereof and an alpha-glycosidase inhibitor (e.g., voglibose, acarbose); and a therapeutic method using the pharmaceutical preparation. The pharmaceutical preparation shows an extremely potent effect of decreasing the morning fasting blood glucose level, the postprandial blood glucose level and HbAlc in a patient with type 2 diabetes and can ameliorate glucose spike, insulin resistance and lipid metabolism.
