FIELD: method and machine for producing of seam with tangled and/or intertissued threads and with holes extending through thickness of sewing article material. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves making seam with the use of at least one sewing thread having thermoplastic material on at least outer side thereof; using infrared laser beam for local directing it onto seam from the outer side in order to provide precise softening of thermoplastic material of sewing thread; applying pressing device before hardening of softened material in order to join all of the adjoining stitches. ^ EFFECT: provision for producing of non-loosenable seam without damaging of sewing article and improved mechanical properties of seam itself. ^ 30 cl, 14 dwg
