An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) protecting device in a terminal and a method therefor are provided to comprise a separate pressure sensing module to sense voltage value changes in accordance with changes of external pressure, thereby outputting a warning sound to a user. A display unit(102) outputs data. A pressure sensor(104) is equipped inside the display unit, and senses pressure applied from the outside. A vibration generator(108) generates vibration. An audio output unit(106) outputs a warning sound when detecting pressure. A controller(114) controls so that vibration is generated or a warning sound is generated as the pressure sensor senses voltage value changes. The display unit includes a touch screen for inputting a user's command, and an LCD which outputs image data.
