PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost low-noise driving means for an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The driving means for the image forming apparatus includes a support member 1, a support member 2 jointed to one end of the support member 1, a support member 3 jointed to the other end of the support member 1, a support member 4 jointed between the support member 2 and the support member 3, a drive source attached to the support member 1, a toothed belt for transmitting drive force from the drive source, and a tensioner attached to the support member 1 and giving tension to the toothed belt.
