REPEATER FOR PULSE-MULTIPLEXED SIGNAL LIGHT

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of crosstalk increase between multiple signals, ratio deterioration and distortion increase by differentiating a variation in a DC component included in an ACamplified pulse signal to remove the variation. CONSTITUTION:A transmitted and optically converted pulse-multiplexed optical signal 1 is inputted to a photodetecting part 2, converted into an electric signal by a photodetecting element 3 and amplified by an AC amplifier 4. The output signal of the photodetecting part 2 is differentiated by a differential circuit 5, the positive level of an output signal from the circuit 5 is decided by the 1st discriminating circuit 6 having a positive discrimination level and its negative level is decided by the 2nd discrimination circuit 7 having a negative discrimination level. The original pulse-multiplexed signal is regenerated from the outputs of the two circuits 6, 7 by a synthesizing circuit 6. Thereby the multiple signal can be repeated without generating the increase of crosstalk in the multiplexed signal and repeating reducing the characteristic deterioration of a transmission signal can be attained.
