An apparatus for increasing the frequency reuse factor by using the microwave and a method therefor are provided to minimize the interference from an adjacent cell by using a microwave signal different from the microwave signal, used in the adjacent cell, in a specific cell in which a mobile communication service is provided. A method for increasing the frequency reuse factor by using the microwave comprises the following steps. In case a mobile communication terminal moves from a preset cell to the outside, a commercial frequency conversion device receives a commercial frequency signal transmitted from a commercial frequency base station(S440). The commercial frequency conversion device makes the microwave signal received correspond to the commercial frequency signal(S450), and then outputs the microwave signal corresponding to the commercial frequency signal(S460). The mobile communication terminal receives the commercial frequency signal in the preset cell to transfer it through a microwave band, and receives the microwave signal outside the cell to transfer it through a commercial frequency band.
