The injector (1) has a nozzle tip (2) equipped with outlets for introducing fuel (4) in a combustion chamber (3). The outlets are alternatively opened or closed by sliding of a mandrel (6) in the nozzle tip. A piston is equipped in the combustion chamber. A displacing unit is formed by a solenoid control valve (7), spring (8), guides (13, 14), cavity (17), and sliding zones (11, 12) in the nozzle tip for displacing the outlets in the combustion chamber in a direction parallel to displacement direction of the piston. An independent claim is also included for a method for injecting fuel in an engine of a motor vehicle.
