A plasma display apparatus is provided to reduce the electromagnetic shielding by decreasing the sustain current. One or more scan electrode and sustain electrode are formed in the front panel. Barrier rib is formed in the rear panel. A driving part(70) applies the driving signal to one or more scan electrode and sustain electrode. The driving part is formed at one side of the plasma display panel and a pad part(77) and FPC(Flexible Printed Circuit)(79). A cooling plate(30) is formed in the rear panel. The first line receives the driving signal from the driving part. The second line forms the scan electrode and the discharge cell of the upper side according to the driving signal which is applied to the first line.
