A plasma display apparatus and driving method for the same are provided, which enable to perform the low voltage fast addressing by using the reset waveform. The display panel(150) comprises the discharge cell. The driving parts(120,130,140) supply the driving signal including the reset signal, the address signal, and scan signal to the discharge cell. The driving part comprises the scan driver for producing the reset signal. The logic controller(110) controls the driving part. The scan driver supplies the reset signal. The reset signal comprises the descent pulse having the ramp-down pulse and step pulse. The logic controller provides the switch control signal to the scan driver for the production of the step pulse.
