<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium in which especially little residue is adhered to a thermal head, sticking is good, and water resistance is easily generated. <P>SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording medium includes a thermosensitive recording layer containing a leuco dye and a coloring agent, and a protective layer which includes a pigment and an adhesive as major components in the above order on a base material. The pigment included in the protective layer contains secondary particles with an average particle diameter of 30-900 nm in which primary particles of amorphous silica with a particle diameter of 3-70 nm are aggregated. The adhesive included in the protective layer contains polyvinyl alcohol and furthermore contains a zirconium compound as a curing agent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
