PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect existence of an open phase in all phases by measuring a current on one specified position of a rotor.SOLUTION: A motor 2 has a stator 2s including armature windings 2u, 2v, 2w and a rotor 2r including a field. A voltage source inverter 5 inputs three-phase AC currents iu, iv, iw to the armature windings 2u, 2v, 2w. A motor control apparatus 10 controls the motor 2 through the voltage source inverter 5. The motor control apparatus 10 outputs switching signals Sup, Sun, Svp, Svn, Swp, Swn to the voltage source inverter 5. When these switching signals are position specification signals for specifying respective positions of the rotor 2r, the motor control apparatus measures the three-phase AC currents iu, iv, iw and detects existence of an open phase. The position of the rotor 2r specified by each position specification signal has an angle other than n*π/6 (n is an integer) in any of the three-phase AC currents.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
