PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice grain polishing method suitably used for rice grains enriched in gaba by suppressing excessive shaving of a rice grain side face part.SOLUTION: A rice grain polishing method includes the step of obtaining gaba enriched brown rice by enriching the gaba of rice grains and then drying the rice grains, and the step of polishing the obtained gaba enriched brown rice into polished rice. The polishing step carriers out polishing by using a rice polisher which includes a porous cylinder, and a polishing roll rotatably installed in the porous cylinder, the porous cylinder includes a plurality of annular projected parts formed to project into the porous cylinder and having a hole at the center, and a cutting blade is formed in a hole inner periphery at the tip of the annular projected part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
