PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forklift capable of braking a load wheel while ensuring a rocking property of a wheel unit.SOLUTION: A wheel unit 4 is stored in a straddle leg 2 so as to rock in a fore-and-aft direction X. The wheel unit 4 is equipped with a pair of supporting plates 40 disposed oppositely in a lateral direction Y; a pair of load wheels 41 disposed in the fore-and-aft direction X between the pair of the supporting plates 40; and two wheel shafts 42 inserted in the pair of the load wheels 41 to extend in the lateral direction Y, and rotatably supported by the pair of the supporting plates 40. Each wheel shaft 42 is equipped with an extension portion 47 extending to the outside of the straddle leg 2. A brake unit 5 is provided, which is coupled to the extension portion 47 of each wheel shaft 42 and brakes each load wheel 41. The brake unit 5 is configured so as to integrally rock with the wheel unit 4 in the fore-and-aft direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
