PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a stabilized quarternary ammonium hydroxide aqueous solution in which, even under a high temperature environment, the coloration can be prevented over a long period of time starting from the initial stage after the production; and a production method therefor.SOLUTION: Provided are: a production method for stabilized quarternary ammonium hydroxide aqueous solution by adding a hydrazine derivative represented by a formula (4) as an aqueous solution, into an aqueous solution containing a quarternary ammonium hydroxide represented by dihydroxy ethyl dimethyl ammonium hydroxide; and a stabilized quarternary ammonium hydroxide aqueous solution obtained by said production method.
