The present invention relates to a pump which is used for a washing machine and a dish washer. Opening and closing plates are provided to a first outlet and a second outlet where a fluid is introduced. Therefore, the fluid is introduced to the first outlet or the second outlet in accordance with the rotating direction of an impeller, and a first opening and closing ball is provided to an upper portion of the opening and closing plate to be positioned in the upper portion of the opening and closing plate blocking the second outlet when the fluid is introduced to the first outlet. Therefore, the bidirectional pump using a transferring and discharging method blocks a flow of the fluid and enables the first opening and closing ball to block the first outlet or the second outlet to be sealed to more completely control the flow of the fluid.
