The present invention relates to a battery cell comprising: a jelly-roll type electrode assembly having a structure of winding an electrode sheet in a structure having an anode, a cathode, and a separating film interposed between the anode and the cathode; a seal tape attached to an outer surface of the electrode assembly by including the winding end of the electrode sheet; and a cell case having the electrode assembly installed therein with an electrolyte. The seal tape comprises: a side adhesive unit having the length corresponding to the height of the electrode assembly in the winding shaft direction of the electrode sheet, and attached to a side of the electrode assembly on which the winding end of the electrode sheet is located; and a lower-part extension unit extending from the side adhesive unit and forming a sealing unit by wrapping a lower part of the electrode assembly. According to the present invention, manufacturing processes can be simplified and productivity can be improved.
