APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MEASURING PLASTIC STRAIN OF MOLD PRODUCTS

The present invention relates to a device to measure a plastic strain of a mold product and a method for the same, capable of reducing costs required to develop a mold. The device to measure the plastic strain of the mold product comprises: a horizontal die on which a formed mold product is placed, wherein a grid is marked; a digital camera installed in an upper part of a horizontal die, photographing a deformed shape of the mold product; a first illumination device integrally or additionally installed with the digital camera, radiating light to a reference surface of the mold product placed on an upper surface of the horizontal die; a reference bar maintaining a horizontal state to the reference surface of the mold product in a front of the first illumination device to generate bar-shaped shadow on a surface of the mold product by the light radiated by the first illumination device; a plurality of second illumination devices integrally or separately installed with the digital camera in order for the grid marked on the surface of the mold product to be photographed by the digital camera without distortion, and radiating the light to a shape measurement surface; and a main computer calculating a height between the digital camera and the shape measurement surface by a preset program by changing a width of the reference bar shadow formed on the surface of the mold product by irradiation of the first illumination device into an obtained pixel value using the digital camera, photographing intervals of the grid marked on the shape measurement surface of the mold product by the digital camera, calculating a grid deformation amount of the shape measurement surface by comparing the changed pixel value and the pixel value of a reference grid initially set, and calculating a deformation rate using the calculated deformation amount.
