PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method which may admit any number of client devices selectively into a sharing session through a quick and easy process, enabling security for a host and anonymity for a client.SOLUTION: A host selects one or more clients for a sharing session on the basis of the proximity of the clients. When a client is selected, an identifier is provided by the client device to the host device, for example, utilizing an optical identifier such as a bar code or an audible identifier such as an encoded sound.
