PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely protect an occupant in a cabin by avoiding that a center pillar to which an impact force is applied from the outside of a vehicle body by a collision to a vehicle is not largely bent and deformed, and to achieve the protection of the occupant by a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A vehicle body structure of a vehicle comprises: a center pillar 11 which constitutes one portion of a sidewall 5 of a vehicle body 2 in a fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle body 2; a floor panel 7 which forms a lower face of a cabin 8 in the vehicle body 2; and a seat 20 which is supported by left and right support brackets 19, 19 which are arranged while separating from each other in a width direction of the vehicle body 2 on the floor panel 7 at the inside of the vehicle body 2 of the center pillar 11. When the center pillar 11 is applied with an impact force F from the outside of the vehicle body 2, the center pillar is bent and deformed so that at least a lower part of the center pillar 11 is protruded toward the cabin 8 side by the impact force F, and a bent-part side 31 pushes and presses the seat 20 by a pressing force P which progresses toward an obliquely-upper part of the inside of the vehicle body 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
