PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diamond-coated cemented carbide cutting tool which exhibits superior defect resistance and wear resistance in cutting work of CFRP or superposition of CFRP and Al.SOLUTION: A diamond-coated cemented carbide cutting tool has a tool base body made of WC-based cemented carbide containing Co of 3 to 15 mass% and is formed to be coated with a diamond film. Therein, a compressive residual stress on a surface of the diamond film on a minimum thickness portion applied on a blade tip part is 1 GPa or more, a diamond thickness on the minimum thickness portion of the blade tip part is 2 to 7 μm and the diamond film having a thickness of 14 to 30 μm is applied on a region other than the blade tip part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
