Provided are a connection structure and a method of connecting an electrode tap with a grid of a rechargeable battery capable of increasing productivity and stably ensuring a connection between the electrode tap of the grid of the electrode assembly. The connection structure between the electrode tap and the grid of the secondary battery comprises: a grid integrally extending from an electrode plate of the rechargeable battery; an electrode tap connected with the grid; and a laser welding part connecting the grid with the electrode tap. Also, the method of connecting the electrode tap with the grid of the secondary battery includes: a step (a) of fixing the grid with a jig; a step (b) of cutting the grid; and a step (c) of connecting the grid with the electrode tap by laser welding by overlapping the grid with the electrode tap. |
