PURPOSE:To facilitate check of the quality of various pictures or the like by setting plural kinds of different test patterns optionally and generating them from the recorder. CONSTITUTION:A test pattern is set to register groups a-d in a register 50 by a central processing unit(CPU) 33 applying sequence control of the recorder and a test pattern generator 56 decides the video signal generating interval in the main scanning direction and the sub scanning direction of a repetitive pattern and a video controller 57 generates a video signal of the test pattern in a decided generating interval. Thus, an optimum test pattern is generated from the recorder. Thus, the operation of a picture recorder and the picture quality are checked efficiently surely. |
