PURPOSE:To optionally change the pattern data of characters at the time of developing a program by using a writable/erasable non-volatile memory. CONSTITUTION:Pattern data stored in an EPROM 9a for a character generator(CG) are erased by irradiating the data with ultraviolet rays through an erasing window 15b. Since an external device is not fitted to the upper surface of a package 11b, detaching work of the external device at the time of erasing like in the case of a piggy back system package 11a is not required. On the other hand, the pattern data are written in the EPROM 9a by impressing write data to a writing terminal 14. Since the writable/erasable non-volatile memory is used, the pattern data of characters can always be rewritten. |
