PURPOSE:To obtain fishing line useful as fishing line reaching from a fishing rod line to the sink, or from the sink to a knotting point of a hook or hook knotting, having excellent durability, hardly flawing, by providing the surface of polyamide monofilament with a mixture of silicone oil and specific fatty acid ester. CONSTITUTION:The surface of polyamide monofilament having 0.05-3.0mm diameter is provided with a mixture of (A) 50-99.9wt.%, preferably 60-99.5wt.% silicone oil (preferably one containing self-crosslinkable reactive functional group such as methyl hydrogen-based or amino modified-based silicone oil) and (B) 50-0.1wt.%, preferably 40-0.5wt.% fatty acid ester (e.g. stearyl stearate) having >=30 deg.C melting point comprising >=12C straight-chain fatty acid and saturated aliphatic alcohol containing 1-3 hydroxyl groups to give the objective fishing line. |
