PURPOSE:To prepare a roasted chestnut having high sweetness and easily peelable astringent coat by removing burr from chestnut grown in Japan, half- cooking the obtained raw chestnut e.g. by steaming until the surface skin is softened and further roasting the half-cooked chestnut. CONSTITUTION:The objective roasted chestnut superior to Tien-tsin AMAGURI (sweet roasted chestnut) is prepared by removing burr from chestnut grown in Japan, steaming or boiling the obtained raw chestnut to a half-cooked state until the surface skin is softened and further roasting the half-cooked chestnut. |
