PURPOSE:To obtain in high efficiency the title compound useful as a polymerization initiator, etc., by bringing a cobalt complex of a beta-dicarbonyl compound into contact, in the presence of a hydroperoxide, with a silane derivative, a chain olefin and an oxygen-contg. gas. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound of formula V or VI can be obtained by bringing (A) a compound of formula I (R<1>, R<2>, R<4> and R<5> are each H, 1-10C alkyl, aryl, etc.; R<3> and R<6> are each 1-10C alkyl, aryl, etc.) into contact, in the presence of (B) a compound of formula II (X, Y and Z are each H, 1-10C alkyl, aryl, etc., at least one of them being not H), with (C) a compound of formula III (R<7>, R<8>, R<9> are each H, alkyl, alkoxy, etc., at least one of them being not H), (D) a compound of formula IV (R<10> to R<13> are each H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, etc., at least one of them being not H), and (E) an oxygen- contg. gas under a pressure of 0.1-50atm at -70 to 100 deg.C. |
