PURPOSE: To recover the metal component by partially separating component of a battery or other article with plate melting. CONSTITUTION: Battery is melted by plate melting, and not by the simple chemical melting using the appropriate acid. Namely, a battery is placed in a plastic case, which is called a plate basket and which is provided with a grid wall for conductive contact, so as to form a positive electrode, and voltage is applied thereof. This plate basket can be formed by using a polypropylene, polyethylene or Teflon (trademark), polytetrafluoroethylene. This special operating technique increases the melting speed. While connects the melting process and the separating process, and simultaneous use of acid and current generates an organic result, namely, the component of the battery is melted so as to be separated into sub-groups. Metal components, which are included in the button battery, is thereby recovered. |
