PURPOSE:To drastically make a range-finding time short by obtaining the output characteristics of a range-finding output from range-finding data at the plural points of a known range-finding object at the time of AF adjustment and correcting AF range-finding data with the aid of the output characteristic at the time of practical use. CONSTITUTION:When the range-finding of three or more objects of known distances is executed at the process time of the AF adjustment, three or more pieces of the range-finding data for adjustment outputted by an A/D converter 6 is stored in a storage means 7. Next, the range-finding data is interpolated by primarily approximating the intermediate thereof with the aid of an arithmetic operation means 3 based on three or more pieces of the range-finding data and the output characteristic of the AF range-finding output with respect to the range-finding distance. Then, at the time of the AF range-finding in the practical use, the distance of the range-finding object is obtained based on the range-finding data from a semiconductor position detection element 4 and the above-mentioned output characteristic. According to the distance, a lens is fed. Due to that, the processing of AF data is simplified and the range-finding time is drastically made short. |
