PURPOSE:To prevent increase in combustion speed and generation of NOx when a combustion chamber is at high temperature by detecting light inside the chamber, and controlling air-fuel ratio by means of the level of the combustion speed under operation conditions. CONSTITUTION:A combustion controller of engine is provided with a revolution detection means (a), an warming condition detection means (b), a light detection means (c) which detect light generating inside a combustion chamber, a light strength judgement means (d) which judges the strength of combustion light from the output, a control means (e) which calculates a control value which controls fuel supply based on an output of number of revolution, an warming condition and a judgement means (d), and a fuel supply means (f) which changes fuel supply based on the output. Fuel supply control is performed according to a condition inside the combustion chamber, and fuel supply in the chamber is increased at high temperature. As a result, increase in combustion speed is controlled so as to decrease generation of NOx. |
