PURPOSE:To get rid of smearing, to make a visual confirming characteristics of a guide light good and to prevent a laser light from error irradiation by discriminating a combined endoscope to be a successive face type endoscope or an optical type endoscope and controlling an irradiating condition of a guide light in accordance with the discriminated result. CONSTITUTION:When a laser apparatus 101 is used by combining with a successive face type electronic endoscope 2, an illumination light is illuminated in a pulse shape by means of a color filter 27 and it is reflected on a tissue 5 and is input in the laser apparatus 101 as a pulse-like light. On the contrary, when it is combined with a fiber scope, a light irradiated on the tissue 5 is a continuous light and it is reflected on the tissue 5 and is input in the laser apparatus through a laser guide 104. A discriminating circuit 106 discriminates whether the illuminating light is a pulse light or a continuous light from the output of a sensor 105. Based on the discriminated result, a control circuit 107 drives pulse-likely a semi-conductor laser 103 when it is a pulse-like light and drives continuously the semi-conductor laser 103 when it is a continuous light. |
