PURPOSE:To distinguish which of a general road and a toll road that are constructed superposedly the vehicle is traveling on by judging that the vehicle travels on the toll road with high possibility when the vehicle speed is lower than a specific value at the position of a toll gate which is obtained from a map storage means. CONSTITUTION:A toll road judging means 107 takes out position data on the toll gate out of the maps storage means 104 and a correlativity arithmetic means 105 compares the position when it is assumed that there is an estimated position on the road course where the toll gate is present, or an estimated position obtained by an estimated position arithmetic means 103 and judges that the vehicle travels on the toll road with high possibility when the distance between the position and the position of the toll gate is less than a specific value and the vehicle speed is lower than the specific value. Further, a correlativity evaluating means 108 evaluates the correlativity of the toll road, where it is judged by a judging means 107 that the vehicle travels the roll road with high possibility, higher than the correlativity of other road courses, and then selects the road course. Consequently, even when the general road and toll road are constructed superposedly, it is decided which of the roads the vehicle is traveling on. |
