<p>PURPOSE:To prevent breaking of wire and to improve yield by forming an electrode to be used as a row or column electrode with a transparent conductive coating film and forming a nonlinear resistance element at its end. CONSTITUTION:A pattern to be used as a row or column electrode 5 is formed with a transparent conductive coating film, and the width of wiring is controlled approximately to that of a picture element electrode 9. Namely, the nonlinear resistance element consists of a nonlinear resistance film 8 and the picture element electrode 9 and is formed at the end of the electrode 5 to be used as a row or column electrode. Accordingly, the breaking of wire due to dust, etc., generated in patterning is suppressed. Consequently, the process yield is improved, the production cost is reduced, and a highly reliable nonlinear resistance element is obtained.</p> |
