A reinforced concrete structural element for forming an earth-retaining wall comprises a panel 5 and a tie rod 3 with one end 7 connected to the panel by means of an articulation 8, the other end 13 of the tie rod 3 being free so that the tie rod 3 may be drawn away from the panel 5- at the articulation 8 for erection of the structural element before connection of the free end 13 with a base for the earthretaining wall. The articulation 8 connects the tie-rod to a rib 6 formed on the panel. The position of the tie rod with respect to the panel is maintained by the insertion of a spacer 16 which in the embodiment described also functions as a base for a mould adapted to contain cement mortar used to fill the space between the end 7 of the tie rod and the panel.</p> |
