PURPOSE: To conduct a normal print without cylinder coating and a print with paging by mounting a thin cylinder coating on an impression cylinder at the time of executing a paging, forming the coating of two layers, forming the inner layer of a support material, and forming an outside layer of a thin wear resistant material. CONSTITUTION: An impression cylinder 1 has a thin cylinder coating 2, which is made of two layers. An inside layer 3 is made of a hard support material having no strain such as, for example, polyurethane, and has durability and buffer characteristics to chemicals used for an offset printing. The coating 2 having the inside and outside layers has a thickness of 0.2 mm at the maximum, and is fixed onto the cylinder 1 of a small-sized offset printer without wrinkle by an extremely thin adhesive layer. Fastening without wrinkle of the coating 2 is performed by a large strength of the inside layer 3 of the coating. In case of mounting an additional new paging unit to an existing rotary press such as, for example, a small-sized offset printer, it is sufficient to merely adhere the coating 2 to the cylinder 1, and hence an economical tightening unit or fastening unit is unnecessary. |
