[Also in Division B8] Sutures 11 (Fig. 3) are restrained in a hollow tube 13 which is coiled either before the sutures are threaded through or with the sutures already in it. A needle 27 may be attached to each suture. The tube which is preferably of polypropylene may be held beneath the tab 31 of a paperboard sleeve 14 closed by a flap 15. The flap 15 may be held open by folding it under about the line 34, the end portion 17 engaging in the tab (36 Fig. 6 not shown). The sleeve may be enclosed in a heat sealed strippable envelope, printing on the sleeve being read through a transparent panel in the envelope. |
