<p>PURPOSE:To provide a thin miniaturized DC-DC converter achieving high efficiency at a high switching frequency by using an inductor consisting of only a coil as an inductor. CONSTITUTION:Two plane coils 1 are laminated with a polyimide film 2 being interposed therebetween and are connected in series to make a laminated coil body with two layer structure. Two such laminated coil bodies with two layer structure are laminated with a polyimide film 3 being interposed therebetween and are connected in parallel to obtain an inductor 22 consisting of a laminated coil body with four layer structure. When a switching transistor 21 is turned on, a current flows through the inductor 22 side, and electromagnetic energy is stored in the inductor 22 and further a capacitor 23 is charged to store electrostatic energy. In a DC-DC converter using this inductor 22, large efficiency can be obtained at a frequency not less than 200kHz, and said converter can be made in thin and small form.</p> |
