<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the precision of the degree of rectangularity of a coordinate detecting substrate by transforming detected position coordinates based on the deviation between coordinate axes of the coordinate detecting substrate and those of a coordinate input panel. CONSTITUTION:When coordinate axes Xd and Yd of the coordinate detecting substrate are rotated from coordinate axes Xc and Yc of the coordinate input panel at angles theta1 and theta2 in the counterclock direction and detected coordinates of an input point are denoted as Xd0 and Yd0, they are transformed to coordinates Xc3 and Yc6 in the coordinate system of the coordinate input panel in accordance with formulas I and II. Since costheta1 costheta2 1 is satisfied actually, correction is performed with sintheta1=1/k and sintheta2=1/n by formulas III and IV. Thus, the precision of the degree of the rectangularity of the coordinate detecting substrate is not required and the process is simplified and the yield is improved.</p> |
