The invention relates to a pipe clamp suitable for remote control, for interconnecting two meeting pipe ends provided with flanges. The clamp consists of a first and a second semi-circular ring segment 3, 4. These are provided with longitudinal cutouts fitting around said flanges. The first ring segment 3 has a first and a second end portion 11, 12 and the second ring segment 4 has corresponding third and fourth end portions 13, 14. The first and the third end portions 11, 13 are pivotably mounted on a spindle 5 which is fixed on one pipe end. According to the invention, said second and fourth portions 12, 14 are provided with first and, respectively, second through-holes 15, 16 for receiving a screw 9 which joins said end portions 12, 14 together. One end of the screw 9 is arranged freely running in said first hole 15 and is, by means of a driver, locked in the axial direction on the associated second end portion 12. Arranged in the second hole is a first cylindrical component 17 which is rotatable about an axis at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the screw. A third, threaded, through-hole 18 for the other end of the screw 9, which hole coincides with said second hole 16, has been made through the surface shell of the component 17. The first and second holes 15, 16 have also been enlarged so that inclination of the screw 9 in the holes is allowed when the pipe clamp is fully open. <IMAGE> |
