<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a cursor during the edition of a character/graphic/image by changing the rate of cursor movement on a display device to the moving distance of a pointing device. CONSTITUTION:Positional data and mouse switch data are read out from a mouse 3 having two switches as pointing device. When the right switch is contin uously depressed, the cursor moving rate of a cursor moving rate buffer is increased. Namely a value to be multiplied by the positional data inputted at the time of calculating cursor position data from the positional data inputted from the mouse 3 is increased. When the right switch is not continuously depressed, the cursor moving rate is reduced. Then the processing is executed in a selected edition mode. Consequently, the operability of the cursor during the edition of a character/graphic/image can be improved.</p> |
