The description is identical with that appearing in the parent Specification, but the claims relate to an electronic half-tone generator comprising an imageing device providing a scanning beam together with means for controlling the deflection of the beam, in which control means responsive to applied electrical signals causes the beam to scan a surface in a plurality of spiral scans of which the duration is variable by said signals, thereby to generate on the surface a plurality of half-tone image dots of variable size. |
