<p>Compounds of general formula (I) and their salts where X = Cl or NO2 R = phenyl mono-or di-substd. by Cl or alkyl (1-3C) Diuretics. Suitable dehydrating agents include PCl3, PCl5 and POCl3. Reaction is effected at 110-180 deg.C, pref. 130-150 deg.C, either in an inert solvent, e.g. chlorobenzene or toluene, or in an excess of (III).</p> |
