Pyridoxine α-ketoglutarate and derivatives thereof of formula where X is a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal or an .organic base cation, are obtained by mixing a solution of pyridoxine with a solution of α-ketoglutaric acid or derivative thereof of formula in an organic or inorganic solvent. An example is given. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise the above-described compounds together with inert non-toxic carriers, diluents or coatings. |
