CORE SLIDER FOR FIXED MAGNETIC DISC AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To satisfactorily improve recording and reproducing characteristics by making one part out of one pair of track parts recording-only structure and the other part reproducing-only structive. CONSTITUTION: A structure of this slider is equipped with one pair of yoke parts 58 and 60 in extension parts of one pair of air bearing parts 44 right and left of a slider main body 64, and is formed with the track parts 46 across a space between these yoke parts 58 and 60 and the slider main body 64 at the same height as the air bearing parts 44 to be projected from the surroundings. Then, one part of the track parts 46 formed across the space between the yoke parts 58 and 60 and the slider main body 64 has the recording only structure, while the other track part 46 has the reproducing only structure. Consequently, improvement of the recording characteristic and the reproducing characteristic is facilitated, and superior recording and reproducing characteristics can be obtained.
